Norbury Manor Primary School

2025 British Science Week

At Norbury Manor Primary School, we believe in nurturing our pupils' natural curiosity and love for learning. This year, we were thrilled to participate in British Science Week, a nationwide celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Week 2025 was "Change and Adapt," and our pupils embraced the opportunity to delve into this exciting topic. Throughout the week, our classrooms were abuzz with hands-on experiments, engaging discussions, and thought-provoking activities that encouraged our young scientists to explore the concept of change and adaptation in the natural world.

Our pupils had the chance to get their hands dirty and their minds engaged in a series of captivating science experiments. From exploring the properties of different materials to investigating the effects of temperature on chemical reactions, our pupils were immersed in the wonder of scientific discovery. These practical activities not only reinforced key scientific concepts but also aligned with our school's values of Scholarship and Excellence, as our pupils were empowered to take an active role in their learning.

As part of our British Science Week celebrations, we organised a poster competition for our pupils. The task was to create a poster that showcased their understanding of the theme "Change and Adapt." The response was overwhelming, and we were impressed by the creativity, critical thinking, and attention to detail displayed by our young artists and scientists.
