Norbury Manor Primary School

School Meals

We value the importance of meal times. We are committed to providing a healthy and nutritious meal for every child and the experience of eating meals in small groups. Children are encouraged to eat a healthy pack lunch. To ensure the safety of our pupils who are allergic to nuts, food containing nuts are not permitted.

Packed Lunch

Example of a healthy packed lunch:

All children are expected to have a plastic water bottle from which they will be encouraged to drink water throughout the day. As with school uniform items these water bottles should be labelled with pupils’ names.

Parents should let the school know any specific food allergies their children might have so that these can be excluded from the food provided. We welcome feedback about the meals, as this will help us as we constantly strive to make our meals as appetising as possible.

School Meals

Our amazing school meals are now being provided by a contractor CH & Co who have paired with Pabulum. All menus are nutritionally balanced and are only cooked with fresh food. They provide theme events and fun weeks. In addition to the two-main meal available every day, they offer jacket potatoes and salads both with a choice of nutritious fillings. The allergens are identified on their menu. Halal and non-Halal options are available daily.

Pabulum priority is to ensure that our children enjoy truly tasty primary school meals that are also good for them. They encourage our pupils to discover the wonders of food by trying new dishes and flavours, helping them understand the importance of a healthy diet from an early age.

Cost of School Meals

Mayor Sadiq Khan has extended the Free School Meals scheme for every primary school child in London for good

Panbulum menus follow a three-week rotation that changes twice a year, aligning with the seasons. Their approach allows us to provide a diverse range of dishes that cater to our children's evolving tastes and preferences. At the end of each menu cycle, they actively seek feedback to continuously refine their offerings to meet the needs of our school community. Special diets can be catered for, please contact the school office for the relevant form.
