  • Friday 18 October 2024 2024 We are Norbury During our "We Are Norbury" week, our pupils had the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of our school community. Children from across our 2-form entry classes delved into the art, traditions, and cuisine of the countries represented by their class names and community, sharing their own unique backgrounds and experiences.

That's why we were thrilled to celebrate the outstanding attendance of our Ghana class, who were recognised for having the best class attendance on 15th October 2024.

That's why we were thrilled to host a recent Reading Workshop for our Reception parents. This event gave them the opportunity to explore our online homework app, Reading Egg, and observe our teachers delivering a lesson using our phonics programme, Read Write Inc.

In keeping with our school's vision and values, we were thrilled to host our annual Grandparent Day event from October 8th to 14th, providing an opportunity for our pupils and their grandparents to come together and share in the joy of learning and connection.

During the session, the students were invited to put their writing skills to the test and contribute to a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest online poetry lesson.

The children were thrilled to take part in a computing lesson, where they had the chance to experiment with a range of innovative software and programmes. The computing session allowed our students to tap into their natural curiosity and problem-solving skills, as they navigated the digital landscape and discovered new ways to express their creativity.

Our Mother's Day event was a great success, with a variety of art and crafts activities for everyone to enjoy. It was heartwarming to see the special bond between our students and their loved ones as they participated in the activities together.
  • Thursday 7 March 2024 2024 World Book Day Our recent World Book Day celebrations were a huge success, with children dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing stories with their classmates. It was wonderful to see so many parents attending our reading breakfast and supporting literacy at our school. In addition, Year 3 had the opportunity to participate in a Thai Chi workshop, which tied in perfectly with their current study of a Bruce Lee biography. Thank you for your continued support in making our school a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
