Celebrating Fathers at Norbury Manor Primary School
At Norbury Manor Primary School, a maintained school in Croydon, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community and celebrating the important people in our pupils' lives. On June 17th, 2024, we were delighted to host a special Fathers Day event to honour the significant men who play a role in the lives of our students.
A Joyful Celebration
The Fathers Day event was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils and their fathers or other male role models to come together and enjoy quality time. The children eagerly participated in a variety of art and craft activities, showcasing their creativity and imagination. Additionally, the group bonded over friendly board game competitions, allowing everyone to have fun and connect with one another.
Reflecting Our Values
This event aligns perfectly with our school's core values of community, thankfulness, and empathy. By inviting the fathers and male role models to be a part of our school community, we demonstrate our commitment to creating a warm, welcoming environment where all families feel valued and included. The children's enthusiasm and the adults' engaged participation reflect our belief in the importance of developing strong relationships and showing appreciation for one another.
Nurturing Growth and Potential
At Norbury Manor Primary, we strive to ensure that our pupils are "learners today, leaders tomorrow." Events like the Fathers Day celebration contribute to this goal by providing opportunities for our students to build confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. Through collaborative activities and meaningful interactions, we help our children develop the essential skills and values they need to thrive both within and beyond the classroom.
Gratitude and Appreciation
We are incredibly grateful to all the fathers and male role models who took the time to join us for this special event. Your presence and involvement in your children's lives are invaluable, and we are honoured to have you as part of our school community. Thank you for being there for our pupils and for supporting their educational and personal growth.
