The Whole School Learns About Diwali

At Norbury Manor Primary School, we believe in providing our pupils with a well-rounded education that not only focuses on core academic subjects but also celebrates the rich diversity of our community. On 24th September 2024, the entire school came together to learn about the significance and traditions of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights

The assembly, led by Mr Nabhi , a priest from the Shree Swaminarayan Temple, began with an engaging introduction to the history and symbolism of Diwali. Pupils learned about the main characters and stories associated with the festival, including the triumph of good over evil, the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom, and the lighting of lamps to signify the removal of darkness and the celebration of knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity.
