Year 2 Great Fire of London Workshop

On November 13th, 2024, our year 2 pupils had the opportunity to participate in a captivating workshop focused on the Great Fire of London, a significant historical event that is a crucial part of our curriculum.

The interactive "Great Fire of London" drama workshop allowed our KS1 pupils to step back in time and immerse themselves in the events of 1666. Through vivid role-playing, the children were able to recreate the bustling life in Pudding Lane, become the spreading flames of the fire, and even meet the famous diarist Samuel Pepys. This hands-on approach not only deepened their subject knowledge but also fostered their sense of empathy, as they explored the challenges and decisions faced by those who lived through this pivotal moment in history.
